Bio | A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy? ------------Albert Einstein Spent the last two years travelling; bussed an art tour across Europe for three weeks, holed up in a working town in the middle-of-nowhere Alberta for near a year, and as soon as my worn shoes touched home soil I was gone again, to Jeonju, S.Korea for five months. Now I'm fresh back from the orient, and looking to find my feet again. Always the artist and ever the Aquarius, I am filled with a great many ideas that rarely see it to fruition. But I am a hard worker, and have yet to become completely jaded to the world--I still have hope. I like sketching with pencil and pen, charcoal and crayon alike. They say you have to draw a thousand bad pictures for every one good one. I've drawn those thousand pictures, and more, and have yet to see this 'good picture'. I've never met a style of printmaking I didn't like.. though I must admit, while intaglio and woodcutting will forever hold a place in my heart, screenprinting is just so swift and efficient that it will always sway me. Ceramics and I have a solid long distance relationship, but I could never spend too much time with it. I live and breathe through photography; while I may not photograph "artistically" per se, I take great pleasure in cataloguing my life and experiences through photos. Not quite sure what I'm supposed to be doing in life. I'll figure it out as I go along. And write a book based on it when it's all good and done, no doubt. This journal is an outlet for me. To post my catalogues of photos. To write about the daily discoveries and disasters. To get my thoughts out there, even if I'm the only one listening. To put words to my half-baked philosophies.
